Biography

Bonita Banducci, President of Banducci ConsultingBonita Banducci, President of Banducci Consulting, studied "What is the Contribution Women have to Make that Could be the Strategic Advantage in the Global Marketplace." for a Fortune 500 company. Her findings launched innovative work she calls Unmasking the Gender Effect. Her workshops and focus group work provide new thinking to increase productivity, creativity, and promotability in the workplace.

Banducci wrote a unique "ten point plan" booklet, Making the Differences Work: Closing the Gender Gap–What we can do for the management, employees, vendors, and customers of the Royal Bank of Canada.

Her assessment of Women Achievers for a CEO of a Silicon Valley high performance company resulted in promotion of two women to Vice President and three women to director and significant improvement in overall results of the company employee opinion survey.

At the Beijing UN Forum on Women, she led a workshop, "Unmasking the Gender Effect: The Competitive Strategies of Women in Business for Sustainable Global Development," which gave hope of business's growing social responsibility to people working on sustainable development.

Ms. Banducci began her business career as the owner and manager of retail, restaurant, and hotel businesses. The diverse work force of her service-intensive businesses catered to customers from all over the world and produced record-breaking sales.

Her experience as a hotel owner and "foreigner," developing tourism in the interior of Mexico, initiated her interest in what fosters communication beyond knowing a language. She became passionate about examining her own cultural assumptions and the assumptions of people from different cultures.

Her training work in gender language, perception and paradigms facilitates change and accelerates new behaviors. This work has been designed into corporate employee-involvement diversity programs and mentoring programs, university organizational development interventions, and total quality management projects in public agencies.

She served on the Santa Clara County Commission on the Status of Women and on the Mid-Peninsula YWCA Diversity Committee. She is a member of the Beijing Conference Action and Resource Network and the International Network of Women in Technology.

Ms. Banducci returned to the field of Behavioral Sciences in which she had earned her BS degree as a member of the pioneer class of University of California, Santa Cruz. She studied and worked with Dr. Fernando Flores whose linguistic work spawned a new generation of human communication technologies.

She managed customer relations and "customer-focused quality" projects for clients including Hewlett-Packard, WYSE Technology, and Landmark Education before developing her original work on the Gender Effect.
